White blouses. Black power suits. Grey trousers. Three "must have" items in a career woman's closet and repeated wardrobe. Is colour unprofessional? Can wearing feminine colours in the office be a career killer?

I refuse to believe that women have to dress masculine to be able to climb the corporate ladder. If Elle Woods taught me anything, it's that pink and corporate success are not mutually exclusive.

Sometimes, a coffee chat turns into a mini photo shoot. Sometimes, you just can't control your hair in the wind. And sometimes, those both happen at the same time.

On another note, as Fall tends to be the season where fashion gets a little darker, I am struggling with letting go of bright hues. Do I really I have to dress in a certain colour palette because the temperatures have dropped? Shouldn't the concern just be with whether I'm warm enough?

Hit the Pavement

There are two things that make me feel accomplished, a solid process map and a great list. I've mentioned my "Thing to do before 30" list on the blog before, but there has been an addendum added. It's the "materialistic things to own before 30", which may be superficial of me but is just as important as the other list! 

A couple of months ago during a business trip to London is when I got to check off one of those items, the infamous red soles. On this spring day, they have hit the pavement.

Bama Nights

My vacation in Alabama thus far has presented me with many glorious things; 2 back to back days of t-shirt weather, massive meal portions, and a woman hanging out with a shower cap on. What more can a girl want.

Bama nights have been chilly and this cape was perfect for a night of birthday celebrations, plus it makes me feel like a super hero.

There is nothing more comfortable than wearing a shift dress, especially as the weather gets warmer. They're light, airy, and can fit any occasion! 

Going shopping or for a stroll on the weekend? Pair a polka dotted number with some flat strappy sandals. Add a pop of colour with your lips and purse. 

Add some sleeves and you're ready for work. Keep it neutral with a solid pump to balance out the pattern.

Heading out? Go all out with leather. Add some gold jewels, a red lip, a fun shoe, and you're all set.
