From the Block

Hair: Iron Salon // Ear Cuff: Forever 21 // Jumpsuit: Zara // Belt: Salvatore Ferragamo // Heels: Christian Louboutin

In high school, I had a camel coloured velour sweatsuit that I would occasionally pair with twisted rows in my hair. J.Lo was clearly my inspiration and let's face it, some things haven't changed. Switch out a sweatsuit with a jumpsuit and a pair of shoes that current J.Lo would approve of and you have this look's inspo.

Pink Stigma

Pants: Mango // Blouse: Club Monaco // Shoes: Christian Louboutin //Sunnies: Rayban

White blouses. Black power suits. Grey trousers. Three "must have" items in a career woman's closet and repeated wardrobe. Is colour unprofessional? Can wearing feminine colours in the office be a career killer?

I refuse to believe that women have to dress masculine to be able to climb the corporate ladder. If Elle Woods taught me anything, it's that pink and corporate success are not mutually exclusive.

Pantone 2016: Rose Quartz and Serenity

Not so breaking news: Pink and blue are no longer reserved for nurseries.

For the first time ever, Pantone's colour of the year is actually TWO colours: Rose Quarts and Serenity. The perfect combination of pink and blue pastel shades and I ain't mad at it. I have been obsessed with pastel shades and I am all about this combination. So clearly, I was going to take it as an opportunity to pair these two hues together in one outfit.

Athletic-inspired fashion is officially a "thing" lately, friends. From wearing jerseys as dresses to varsity jackets, the options are limit-less. Wearing a baseball cap is not only an easy simple way to join the trend, it'll also take care of a bad hair day! Keep it simple with a v-neck and boyfriend jeans but vamp it up with heels and a red lip and you're all set.

Now you still have one question in mind - where does this leave tear away pants? Still just in my heart..

Hit the Pavement

There are two things that make me feel accomplished, a solid process map and a great list. I've mentioned my "Thing to do before 30" list on the blog before, but there has been an addendum added. It's the "materialistic things to own before 30", which may be superficial of me but is just as important as the other list!

A couple of months ago during a business trip to London is when I got to check off one of those items, the infamous red soles. On this spring day, they have hit the pavement.

Brilliant Earth: Personality Style Challenge

Brilliant Earth: Personality Style Challenge

How would you describe your style?

Are you...

A blue jeans and tee kind of girl?
Drawn to floral, feminine styles, and patterns?
Glamorous and into stilettos and glitter?
Minimalist, no-nonsense elegant style?
Into vintage dresses and thrift store shopping?
Strive to be on the cutting edge?

For me? Well, it depends on the day! Except maybe the thrift store option.. But I can't say that my style really has a definition. I just wear what I like! And as I'm picking out my dress for a dinner tonight, I'm feeling "into stilettos and glitter" so that's what I chose to style for the Brilliant Earth Style Challenge.

What kind of girl are you?

Patterns Gone South

My closet has accumulated its share of pattern pants and I'm excited to take the pattern party even more south next season. What's more fun than adding excitement to an otherwise basic outfit with some cool shoes?!

Here are some heels that have caught my eye that I may have to add (the wallet-friendly options) to my growing collection!

How do you feel about patterned shoes?

1 Skirt: 2 Looks

The skirt - Carven flared mini skirt

Clothes are as multipurpose as a Swiss army knife and if you are going to spend a cool $420 on a skirt, such as this Carven number, then you're going to want to wear it multiple times for multiple occasions!
