YYT: Signal Hill

Dress: Zara // Jacket: Zara // Handbag: Chloe // Boots: Aldo

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have noticed that I have been spending some time in St. John's, Newfoundland. So why not take the opportunity to do some shoots while I'm here. This is the first of a few posts that I did with Naomi Cousins. It was so fun working with her and I can't wait for another idea we have brewing!

I like to call this look "a modern day little house on the prairie". And if I look cold in here, it's because I was absolutely freezing.

No Refund Policy

Duster: Dynamite // Camisole: Banana Republic // Pants: Dynamite // Heels: Aldo

There is something about the process of refunding or exchanging am item that I just hate. So when I received these pants and they were way too big, I just hung them up in my closet anyway. Fast forward a couple of months and 21 burritos, and they're a perfect fit. I'm not really sure whether this is something to be proud of..

Cheeky

Sweater: Splurge // Skirt: Splurge // Heels: Aldo // Socks: My childhood

If you're going to wear a pink skirt set that boldly says "Cheeky" on it, you've got to commit to the whole look. That includes socks and heels and an Ariana Grande hairstyle. And when someone compares your outfit to something Elle Woods would wear, you can safely feel great about your day's choices.

Fringe Benefits

Sweater: Le Chateau // Skirt: Splurge - shop here // Heels: Aldo

Winter white is one of my favourite looks especially when paired with a really dark lip. This fringe skirt just made it easier to take winter white dressing into the holidays. You can go casual-chic with an off shoulder sweater or dress it way up with a cream cami and a blinged out choker.

Warning: this skirt will make you swing your hips and take really extravagant steps.

Black Cherry

Pants: Zara // Sweater: Club Monaco // Shoes: Aldo

What happens when it's too dark out but you're kinda into the pant/sweater combo? You take blurry pics in a garage.

Pastels For All Seasons

Skirt: Forever 21 // Vest: Forever 21 // Blouse: Dynamite // Heels: Aldo // Handbag: Milly

There are a list of things that I like to enjoy year round no matter what changes the different seasons may bring: a cup (or 3) of black coffee (none of this iced coffee business), ice cream, bed time green tea, and of course, pastels.

Big Bold Bright

Pants: Zara // Top: RW&CO // Shoes: Aldo // Bracelet: Swarovski // Sunnies: Celine

Humidity has been extremely high. Not only is that a tragic situation for the mane on my head, but also has made office dressing difficult (your clothes sticking to you as you walk between sites outside is no bueno). Wide legged pants have been a saviour in these situations! The looseness is as breezy as a maxi dress but still feel put together.

Don't be afraid to stand out in a bold pair like these.

Red Alert

Blazer - c/o Rickis- shop here
Jeans - Forever 21
Heels - Aldo

Some may find it hard to wear red without feeling festive. Pair it with white and it may be too "Canada Day", add a little sparkle and you feel like Christmas, throw on some pink and you may be just asking to be compared to Valentine's Day.

Well friends, that should not be the case. Red is a staple colour that can be worn year round. Whether it's an accessory pop of colour, a red dress, or just the lip, you can never go wrong with a little red in your step.

If it's a little too bold for you, adding some casual elements can make the colour a little more approachable like pairing it with distressed denim or a graphic tee.

No Pants Party

Sweater: Joe Fresh // Heels: Aldo

The comparison between the weather today and my -45 weekend made it feel like a glorious Spring day. It was back to sweater weather, and strictly just a sweater weather.
