No Refund Policy
Duster: Dynamite // Camisole: Banana Republic // Pants: Dynamite // Heels: Aldo
There is something about the process of refunding or exchanging am item that I just hate. So when I received these pants and they were way too big, I just hung them up in my closet anyway. Fast forward a couple of months and 21 burritos, and they're a perfect fit. I'm not really sure whether this is something to be proud of..

Joggers
Pants: Banana Republic // Blazer: Forever 21 // Choker: Splurge Boutique // Lipstick: Mac Russian Red // Heels: Jimmy Choo //Sunglasses: RayBan
"Track pants? On a Monday?" is how I was greeted this morning as I walked into the office. Trying to bring trends into my work wardrobe is sometimes more challenging than balancing multiple projects. I'm just a girl who doesn't want to wear black pants and blouses every day. Pairing "jogger pants", which have been sported here (pun intended), with a blazer and heels is one way to be comfortable and trendy from 9-5.
If only business process mapping was a track and field sport..

Closet Staple: The Office Dress
Dress: Banana Republic // Heels: Aldo // Lips: Mac Diva
There are certain dresses that every girl should have in her closet that will just make her days more efficient. These include, but not limited to:
1. The "I'm going out on the town and need to look good - real good" dress;
2. The "I feel bloated but need to get dressed" dress; and,
3. The "Office" dress
This Banana Republic number makes for the perfect office dress. The material is comfortable for days filled with long meetings. The neckline and the sleeve length adds sophistication. And finally, the fit and the slit will make you feel like Jessica Pearson from Suits.

Wild Wednesday
Skirt: Isabel Marant // Vest: Banana Republic // Booties: Guess // Cuff: YSL //Lipstick: Milani in Black Cherry
When I first found this skirt as part of my Boxing Day Sale adventure, I knew it was going to be fine. There was one issue, I had no clue how to style it. A quick google search for style inspo (because I'm far too old to know how to tumblr) lead me to this image of Beyonce styling it with a matching top, which unfortunately was not available - no help.
I started with the bottom. It's January so obviously tights was mandatory. I calmed down the loud print up top with a black turtle neck that feels like has been glued to my body this month. Something still didn't feel right, it was missing something..but what? I added a statement necklace and the look went to Real Housewives of New Jersey real quick so that wasn't gonna happen. The addition of the vest added just what I needed..if only I wasn't too late to steam it..

Cat Eyed
Skirt - Banana Republic
Sweater - Opening Ceremony
Jacket - RW & Co.
Heels - Tory Burch
Sunglasses - Splurge Boutique here
A pair of sunglasses can really complete an outfit and give you a different persona. This outfit sans the sunnies is quite sweet, the pink, the bows, the sweater, it's like I'm a 12 year old on my way to read to the elderly. Add a pair of cat eye sunnies and now I'm Cruella Deville in search of a cigarette filter..and I'm into it.

Autumn Brights
Cape - Mango
Blouse - Banana Republic
Skirt - RW&CO
Heels - Aldo
Sometimes, a coffee chat turns into a mini photo shoot. Sometimes, you just can't control your hair in the wind. And sometimes, those both happen at the same time.
On another note, as Fall tends to be the season where fashion gets a little darker, I am struggling with letting go of bright hues. Do I really I have to dress in a certain colour palette because the temperatures have dropped? Shouldn't the concern just be with whether I'm warm enough?
What are your thoughts, friends?

Mother Nature - You Fiery Minx
It’s a sad day when you realize that it’s officially starting
to get cold out and you haven’t even worn all your summer outfits yet! Although
Fall dressing can be fun with all the printed tights, boots, and scarves, I’d
prefer the bold bright prints of the summer any day. However, I’ll try to be
more positive about the season change and just think of the fact that my
growing waist line is harder to notice underneath jackets and capes. JalapeƱo
poppers..come to mama.
While the cold weather is inevitable, looking good during
that time isn't for some. Here are my picks for some must-have outerwear.
1. Leather Trim
Nothing makes me feel more badass than a little leather,
with the exception of my throwing stars maybe; however, I don’t find leather
jackets that warm and I prefer a longer coat so I don’t get a cold bum, which
is hard to do in leather without looking like you’re auditioning for the back
alley version of the Matrix. The leather sleeves on these coats gives them just enough edge so mother nature knows who not to mess with.

2. Cape
The only thing that has been stopping me from fighting crime in the winter is that I couldn't find a cape warm enough. Now I guess I have no excuse. Thieves and berry ticklers - watch out! I love the rich colour of the teal Elie Tahari cape below. It would be great with elbow-high leather gloves or a suede pair in a complimentary jewel tone to cover up the bare arms.

3. Statement Colour
Add a little 'oh hi' to any gloomy grey day in a bold coloured statement jacket. The red coat had me at 'bow'.

4. Trench
Inspector Gadget definitely knew what he was doing when he put that jacket on. There are no indications of the trench coat ever going out of style and nothing makes me think of Burberry more than the trench coat, which they have managed to make quite iconic. You can even make your own Bespoke Burberry trench coat on their website if you're willing to cough up the thousands of dollars.

I will leave you all with this video. It’s not gonna be hot
everywhere, it’s not. And you DO need a jacket.
Stay warm, friends.
