Leather Weather

Wearing head to toe black can come across a little Wednesday Adams at times. It's those extra little details that make you look less like you're on your way to hang out with Lurch. The faux-leather pockets on this sweater do just that!

Also, these jeggings have quickly pitched a tent in my "go-to" items section since I grabbed them at Rickis recently. I don't know how I can ever go back to wearing pants with buttons and zippers.

Don't Give A Tuck

Shirt - Club Monaco (men's section)
Coat - Splurge Boutique
Jeans - Forever 21
Shoes - BCBG
Bag - Louis Vuitton
Sunglasses - Rayban

If I had a dime for every time someone asked me why half my shirt was out today, I would probably only have 50 cents actually. I could buy nothing with that.

Tweedheart

There are a few things that are good about the Fall and no, I'm not referring to Pumpkin Spice anything.

1. The line between a skirt that's borderline too short all of a sudden seems ok with dark tights.

2. The incorporation of textured fabrics into your wardrobe.

I took advantage of both of these seasonal benefits in today's outfit. Although I paired the tweed-esque skirt and top combo together, you could still incorporate texture into your outfit one piece at a time.

All of the Stripes

I've got more lines on me than Lindsay Lohan on a Saturday night.

Sweater - Zara
Skirt - Zara
Shoes - Aldo
Bracelet - Splurge here

The trick with mixing stripes is to to mix a bolder stripe with a subtle stripe. In this case, the sweater's thin stripes in dark shades act like the neutral in the outfit. Keep the shoe simple and you're all set.

Office Tees

There are so many things that are "frowned upon" at the office; overalls, thigh high boots, chaps, sombreros. When will these rules end, people?? However, every now and then, an item of clothing that's usually saved for Casual Fridays can sneak its way into a Monday - the tee. Pairing a t-shirt with a dressier skirt and heels makes it totally work appropriate. There is no need to try to dress it up more with bold jewelry, keep it simple with some delicate chains.

If a co-worker dares to call you out on your casualness, here are some quick quips that are sure to shut them up:

"YOU'RE casual"
"But look how great my hair looks!"
"Your mom went to college"

Sky Blue

Skirt - Club Monaco
Top - Forever 21
Jacket - H&M
Shoes - BCBG
Necklace - Call it Spring
Cuffs - H&M

Once I'm into something, I'm reeaaally into it. For example, in my university days, I wore a bow in my hair and thigh high socks almost on a daily basis. There was a time when I decided that wasabi peas was all I needed in my life. And of course, those couple of months where I only wore animal themed rings, from parrots to whales. What am I into now? This pastel sky blue colour. I now declare you my new jam..as attested by this post only a couple of days ago.

Monochreme

Sweater - Calvin Klein
Skirt - Club Monaco
Shoes - Aldo
Sunglasses - Prada
Necklace - Forever 21
Midi Ring - Forever 21

Wearing one colour head to toe can be a little challenging, the trick? Mix up the textures! The combination of a knit sweater with a silky skirt adds enough interest to make it not boring without losing the monochrome feel.

I look so innocent in my completely cream outfit. Little do you know that I actually kicked 5 kids beforehand.

Shrunken Sweater

It's bad enough I still have to wear sweaters at the end of May so I thought a shrunken one would at least make it sting less. It didn't. I was as cold as my heart.

A high waisted skirt gives you the opportunity to wear the cropped trend at the office. The skirt does the midriff covering up job. That way, you can avoid any awkward "inappropriate work wear" conversations. Been there. Done that. Got the t-shirt (the long sleeved turtle neck of course).

Transitioning

Jacket - Jack
Dress - Y.A.S
Booties - Zara
Bag - Louis Vuitton
Sunnies - RayBan
Cuff - Forever21
Ring - H&M

There are two things that are transitioning here - my hair is transitioning into more of an ombre and the weather is finally taking a few steps into warmth. This newly present sun is just like this dress - deceiving! I could be pregnant, bloated, or smuggling muffins underneath there and no one would ever suspect a thing and that's the way I like it! Additionally, the super comfortable almost sweatshirt like material of this dress was great today as the air was still brisk under the glowing sun. But hey, no tights, yippee!

Bama Nights

My vacation in Alabama thus far has presented me with many glorious things; 2 back to back days of t-shirt weather, massive meal portions, and a woman hanging out with a shower cap on. What more can a girl want.

Bama nights have been chilly and this cape was perfect for a night of birthday celebrations, plus it makes me feel like a super hero.

Garnier Fructis Damage Eraser Review

I curl. I dye. I brush. I straighten. No, I'm not listing new Apple products, these are all things that I do to my hair. The result? Ends that are anything but happy and breakage more devastating than the end of N'Sync.

So when Influenster asked me to review a mystery L'oreal hair product that would help my issues, I was pumped. The mystery was revealed to be Garnier Fructis's new Damage Eraser line, which included shampoo, conditioner, split ends bandage serum, and strength reconstructing butter.

The line made my hair feel really soft! The bandage serum helped with the crispy feeling that my ends tend to have especially after taking a spin on the curling iron. Overall, my hair also felt lighter, the serum didn't weigh it down nor make it greasy.

What do you use when your hair feels a little damaged?

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
