My Uniform
Necklace - Splurge Boutique
Sweater - Dynamite
Skirt - Danier
Shoes - Aldo
I've been finding myself gravitating towards the same type of outfit when getting ready for work. It's becoming my "uniform" in a way - a high waisted skirt and a crop top. It's not the most unique combo one has ever come across but that's when texture mixing can add some interest.
Here I combine a leather pencil skirt with a periwinkle sweater for a "I'm baddass enough for leather but adorable enough to bake pie" look.
Do you have a go-to look lately?

Where's My Sombrero?
Coming back to work after a weekend is already hard enough, add a snowy long weekend mostly spent inside and it's nearly impossible. The last thing I wanted to do was wear real clothes. My answer to that was basically wearing a blanket to work..and so I did!

Shrunken Sweater
It's bad enough I still have to wear sweaters at the end of May so I thought a shrunken one would at least make it sting less. It didn't. I was as cold as my heart.
A high waisted skirt gives you the opportunity to wear the cropped trend at the office. The skirt does the midriff covering up job. That way, you can avoid any awkward "inappropriate work wear" conversations. Been there. Done that. Got the t-shirt (the long sleeved turtle neck of course).

Style on a Dime: Olivia Palermo
Ever look through a magazine, find a perfect outfit that you decide you just NEED, look at the corner of the page and then realize that that basic tank is $200?? Or even worse, you see those 3 words that have the effect of a slap in the face.."Price Upon Request". Well that, friends, is the story of my life.
Thank goodness for high street stores where I can turn the more expensive outfit inspiration into reality with very little perspiration. This entire outfit comes in under $250, less than just the pair of sunglasses Olivia has on.
Sweater - Topshop - $42.00
Skirt - Dynamite - $24.00
Necklace- Forever 21 - $7.80
Cuff - Forever 21 - $10.80
Sunglasses - Aldo - $12.00
Bag - Aldo - $50.00
Shoes - Zara - $99.90
TOTAL: $246.50

25
Today is the day I say goodbye to my youth, in mourning in my all black outfit. Apparently, mother nature is in mourning too with the return of this freezing cold! Just plain rude. So I didn't actually get a picture of the outfit..but here's an outfit from last week! Where the weather was springy and I was young and spry.
Around 5 years ago I wrote a list of things I wanted to accomplish before I turned 30. Well I've hit the half way point and I haven't done much! So now I will be entering ramp up mode. Beware world because one of things is getting a motorcycle licence. I'll alert everyone when that happens so they can stay off the roads..and their front lawns too.
On a more positive note, thanks to my friends and co-workers for making me feel special on this day! (knowing that I'm just a little bitter..). I would hug you..but I hate you..just kidding..but seriously, don't touch me.

Style on a Dime
1. Blazer - Dynamite - $39.90 - here
2. Romper - Asos - $34.92 - here
3. Purse - Nine West - $75.00 - here
4. Sunglasses - Aldo - $12.00 - here
5. Sandals - DV by Dolce Vita - $79.00 - here
Look like Kourtney Kardashian for just a little over $200! If you're shopping on a budget, here's a style tip - spend a little more on items that you'll get more wear out of. In this example, the pricier items are the shoes and purse; however, you're more likely to wear shoes and purses with several outfits than with a romper.
So go on friends, go shop so you can look like the starlet that you're mommy always said you were.
