Not Feeling Fly

As I sit here in the airport lounge waiting for my connecting flight, I realize I haven't posted in a while! And what a better topic to post about than travel fashion!

While I wish that I was one of those girls that look so put together while travelling - perfect hair, make up and heels, I have come to the conclusion that I am just not. And you know what? I'm ok with that. I just wanna be comfy y'all!

Here are my go to travel clothing items:

1. A big cozy sweater

You never know what the temperatures are going to be like in airports and/or planes. Layering will allow you take your body temperature in your own hands! Plus, you can use your sweater as a cozy little blanky when you're trying to catch some zzz's on the flight.

2. Leggings

They're comfortable. They're not sweat pants. They'll make you look less bulky especially if you're going with a chunky sweater. I don't need to explain myself any further.

3. Kicks

Or any footwear that will require you to wear socks! There is nothing less appealing me to me than having to walk barefoot on the floor after being asked to take your shoes off by Security. Sock it up, friends!

4. Scarf

For the same reasons as the sweater. Plus, sometimes you just wanna dig your face into something to avoid Coughy McCougherson sitting next to you without looking like a Sars victim.

Earring My Bell

Statement necklaces and rings have been all the rage lately, so it was warranted when ear lobes everywhere stopped listening and started asking "Where's the love, guys??". Well dear ear lobes, your  prayers have been answered. More attention was given to the accessory up north on the spring/summer runways with the introduction of the ear cuff.

For a minute, we'll strip away all the collar necklaces, layered bracelets, and loud clothes and showcase all the greatness that earrings have to offer day after day.

Golden Globes: The Good and the Meh

"What? The Golden Globes were on last night?" - said no fashion-lover today. 

There was an abundance of fabulous dresses making their way down the red carpet last night (from what I saw by watching E! Red Carpet coverage anyway) and surprisingly, I didn't hate much! Although, I'm sure there were some weird looking ensembles that night that I just didn't notice. 

The lack of "holy mother of god what is that??" doesn't mean there was lack of "meh" on the red carpet. Here is my list of the good and the meh:

Sparkly Stripey

A couple of days into the new year and I'm getting the chance to show you what I wore! It was a pretty low key night filled with laughs, greats friends and tons of food! I did not want my food baby to make an appearance by the end of the night so I sported a loose t-shirt dress from H&M. It was comfortable and loosey goosey so I could eat all the baked brie I wanted...mmm..cheese..
