Grammys 2013: Tops and Flops

Fashion at the Grammys this year was somewhat controversial given the "memo" that was sent out regarding a new dress code. And you know what? I ain't mad at it. 

Celebrities, more so during the Grammys I feel, have been dressing to get talked about, and what's better to talk about than the nip slip. So the dress code made it more about the actual dress and less about the skin. 

Too bad the memo didn't say "don't wear anything hideous" because there was definitely some of that on the red carpet as well. 

Here are the top dresses of the night and the flops!

The Tops: 

1. Taylor Swift

2. Solange Knowles 

This is the one time she will ever beat Beyonce at anything. Live it up, girl.

3. Rihanna

4. Natasha Bedingfield

5. Kelly Rowland

This dress might actually make her relevant again!

6. Katy Perry

Really brings out her..eyes.

The Flops: 

1. Florence Welch

If dinosaurs had galas, this is what they'd wear.

2. Bonnie McKee

The bottom half of this just needs to go!

3. Kayley Cuoco

She must have thought she was going to dinner and randomly ended up at the Grammys.

Golden Globes: The Good and the Meh

"What? The Golden Globes were on last night?" - said no fashion-lover today. 

There was an abundance of fabulous dresses making their way down the red carpet last night (from what I saw by watching E! Red Carpet coverage anyway) and surprisingly, I didn't hate much! Although, I'm sure there were some weird looking ensembles that night that I just didn't notice. 

The lack of "holy mother of god what is that??" doesn't mean there was lack of "meh" on the red carpet. Here is my list of the good and the meh:
