Product Review: Skinfix

Cottages, cars, my skin: these are things that need to be winterized. As the temperatures drop, I basically turn into a reptile. I wake up with flakey skin that makes makeup application very difficult. This winter, thanks to Skinfix, I've changed up my skincare routine with products that are working hard to put an end to my ereptile dysfunction.

I recommend using this nightly. I have noticed such a difference to how my skin feels the next morning. It looks healthier and feels moisturized.

Although this is gentle enough to use every night, I have only been using it on nights where my skin just feels a little extra dry or if I was wearing more makeup than normal that day. The best part is that it is a leave-on mask so you really wake up feeling that extra moisture and plump.

My eyelids sometimes get so red and irritated and then my skin flakes through my concealer under my eyes. That is not cute, guys. I've been (trying) to use this eye cream nightly. I'm not going to lie, adding an eye cream is new to me so I forget this step A LOT. However, from the little that I have used this I can already see the major difference to the skin around my eyes. They no longer get red and irritated. My skin is noticeably less dry. I'm hoping with more consistent usage that I will start to notice a difference to my dark circles. Yes, I'm tired.. but the world doesn't need to see that!

Product: Lip Repair Balm

During the day, I need to enhance the colour of my lips so I typically go for either a lipstick of a balm that has a tint of colour. At the end of the night, my lips are basically peeling off. These lip repair balms have been a great addition to my night routine to repair my lips and prep them for another round of lipstick in the day.

Product Review: Almay One Coat Mega Volume Mascara

When I don't have mascara on, I just don't feel human and look asleep. A great mascara is my true must-have and I use A LOT of it. I have found a great go-to and have been using that same brand for years but was excited to try out the Almay One Coat Mega Volume when Influenster sent it to me complimentary for review purposes.

Now I'll quit with the chit chat, here's the 411:

The Good:
1. The cone wand was surprisingly good at reaching the outer corner hairs
2. It doesn't flake off during the day
3. Great volume and lengthening effect
4. The formula was not clumpy at all

The Not So Good:
1. One of my application techniques is to also apply from the top and the thicker brush meant that I got way too much of the product on my actual eye lid
2. Not sure why it's called "one coat", I def used MULTIPLE coats

Product Review: Bite Beauty Amuse Liquified Lipstick

In case you haven't gotten the memo, liquids are solid! I used to never opt for the liquid lipstick because I always thought they were messy and now I don't know how I ever passed them up. The applicators make it so easy and almost eliminate the need to line your lips.

Influenster has recently sent me three Bite Beauty Amuse liquified lipsticks to review in the following shades:

1. Flambe
2. Demi Glace
3. Eclaire

My general thoughts regardless of the shade:

1. The shades were very pigmented
2. Applicators were easy to use and allowed you to line your lip shape
3. Hydrating feel
4. Smelled (and tasted) great
5. Shiny finish was a nice change up from my usual matte stains
6. My only con is that the colour easily transferred over to my teeth

This is the Flambe shade. A really intense orangey red that will be a great transition to Fall.

The Demi Glace was just not a great colour on my skin tone. It was a little too brown and didn't have enough pink undertone for a good neutral lip.

The Eclaire shade was more barbie pink than I typically go for a light pink shade..but I wasn't mad at it!
