Red Alert

Blazer - c/o Rickis- shop here
Jeans - Forever 21
Heels - Aldo

Some may find it hard to wear red without feeling festive. Pair it with white and it may be too "Canada Day", add a little sparkle and you feel like Christmas, throw on some pink and you may be just asking to be compared to Valentine's Day.

Well friends, that should not be the case. Red is a staple colour that can be worn year round. Whether it's an accessory pop of colour, a red dress, or just the lip, you can never go wrong with a little red in your step.

If it's a little too bold for you, adding some casual elements can make the colour a little more approachable like pairing it with distressed denim or a graphic tee.

Look Book: Pencil Skirts

There used to be a time where when you would hear "pencil skirt", you pictured a girl in a bun, glasses, wearing an ill fitting grey or black knee length skirt. Now you hear those two words, and the girl on your mind may still have a hair bun and glasses, but daaaaamn she's lookin' gooood!

Pencil skirts are a closet staple that can be dressed up, down, for work, or a night out. There is oh so much more than just the classic black skirt, I was recently inspired by Social Print Studio to create a lookbook of my favorite looks. I chose to use different variations of pencil skirts. With their collection of custom photo books it’s a great way to bring your digital favorites to life. Having a lookbook in physical form is a great thing to have!

If you're going out to do some Spring shopping soon, the cropped pant is a must-have. And if you've got them in your closet but it's not quite Spring yet, why not play with proportions and pair them with a long coat.
