Colour Blocking for the Timid

Depending on your occupation, it can sometimes be hard to bring your favourite trends into the office. Thank god ass-less chaps aren't trending right now, that might be a tough one to try to find a happy medium for.

Colour blocking is a great one! It's not risque (unless you're colour blocking a bra top and a pencil skirt - come on ladies) AND it can be done in several intensities. For example, if you feel like a full on colour blocked outfit in bright hues is a bit much, then I present to you 'Colour Blocking 101 - For the timid'.

Start with a solid coloured top and keep the rest of the outfit in a neutral shade. You can never go wrong with black in my case! Then add another bold colour on your footsies! This way, you're still partaking in the trend, yet you're a little more subtle about it.

How bold are you with your colour blocks?

i'm a huge fan of color blocking - as long as it's the same color palette.

  3. Mustard and cobalt are safe color blocking options. They look quite lovely together. One of my favorite combos right now, in fact.

Lovely outfit. I think mustard and orange, or orange and cobalt also work well.
